A passionate health justice advocate. Ms. Lofton fiercely fights for individuals and their families who suffered serious injuries or wrongful death due to negligent physicians and hospitals; dangerous drugs; defective medical devices; or premises liability. Attorney Lofton works with clients from all walks of life and provides her clients with premier legal representation by taking the time to listen and understand the facts of each case, the range of outcomes and her clients’ “real objectives” objectives. She treats her clients with the care and respect they deserve while providing an aggressive litigation strategy against hospitals, healthcare providers, and large companies.
Prior to her career in law, Attorney Lofton was a health care policy expert and published author at Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for over 10 years, where she developed and implemented policy and systems changes; managed Federal projects; and oversaw a multi-million dollar Federal program. Her publications include numerous policy briefs and “Models for Local Implementation of Comprehensive Cancer Control: meeting local cancer control needs through community collaboration.
Attorney Lofton is licensed to practice law in Texas and New York and received her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. Additionally, Ms. Lofton holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H) from Columbia University and earned her undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke College.
