Okezie Chukwumerije is Of Counsel for AnunobiLaw PLLC. Okezie is licensed to practice law in California and in Nigeria and provides guidance to AnunobiLaw in engagements involving International Commercial Law and Interstate Commerce issues.
Okezie has been a tenured Professor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University (TSU), since 2003. Prior to teaching at TSU, Okezie was a full tenured Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney Australia. Professor Chukwumerije is a distinguished expert in International Commercial Arbitration, Contracts and Commercial Law. He has also authored several articles in leading law journals and a text book on International Commercial Arbitration.
Okezie holds a Bachelor of laws degree (LLB) from University of Benin, Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian bar after graduating from the Nigerian Law School Lagos, Nigeria. Okezie graduated top of his class both at the University of Benin and the Nigerian Law School. He earned his Masters of Law (LLM) degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
Okezie subsequently earned a Doctor of Juridical Science (D. Jur.) degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, Canada. Professor Chukwumerije has practiced or taught law in three continents (Africa, North America and Australia). He draws on his deep and diverse knowledge to support our International Business and Frontier Market practice.
